  2.    For HP 9000 Series 300 DIO-I Computers Product Number 98658A
  3. The Small Computer System Interface (SCSI) is a widely accepted ANSI
  4. standard for connecting host computers to peripherals. SCSI peripherals
  5. available in the market today include floppy and Winchester disks,
  6. cartridge and reel-to-reel tape drives, CD-ROM, WORM drives, helical
  7. scanners, and a wide range of other peripherals. The HP 98658A can
  8. support 7 devices on one interface although performance and cable
  9. restrictions will apply.
  10.    The HP 98658A host adapter provides a standard 8-bit SCSI bus for
  11. HP 9000 Series 300 DIO-I* systems and is capable of performing 16-bit
  12. DMA transfers. When connected with the 7957S, 7958S or 7959S SCSI 5.25"
  13. disks from Disc Memory Division, it provides a high performance
  14. solution for direct access storage. By itself, the 98658A provides the
  15. flexibility of an industry standard and allows connection to compatible
  16. peripherals.
  17.    Note:  HP 9000 Models 310 and 320 are not supported.

  85.    HP fully supports SCSI for use with HP peripherals. Use of the SCSI
  86. adapter with non-HP peripherals is at the users own risk and is not
  87. HP supportable. Hardware and/or software may require modification for
  88. system/peripheral compatibility. Upon modification of the software,
  89. HP waives all responsibility for proper operation including transaction
  90. accuracy and data integrity. Modification of software should only be
  91. taken on by users experienced with HP-UX drivers and SCSI
  92. implementations.

  94. and fitness for a particular purpose. In addition, HP specifically
  95. disclaims all responsibility for the operation of the SCSI interface
  96. software with non-HP products, and for results or data loss in
